Wow, it's great that Hulu.com has added B5 to the lineup. This brilliant show is basically one huge telenovel, with 121 "chapters". The creator, J. Michael Stracynzski, wrote almost all the episodes, giving the show unparalleled continuity and flow. Almost every episode is required watching to get the whole arc. This is one of the finest shows I've ever watched. The themes are powerful and still resonate with me today.

For new fans, please stick it out through Season One. It's the clunkiest season and frankly the acting and production values are a bit lacking. Still, it's critical for setting up the following amazing seasons. When I watched the show through a second time, S1 blew me away, because I could see all the major arcs that it established and the character traits that would be so crucial in later seasons.

The Babylon 5 story doesn't present itself in the typically convenient 1-hour TV episode. The viewer must be patient and allow the story to bloom. Admittedly, the pilot and first season are relatively slow and boring vs. today's TV hyper-adventures. To experience the greatest satisfaction, the viewer must watch the pilot and first season to become familiar with the characters and plot threads. In fact, the viewer won't see many of these stories conclude until the 4th and 5th seasons. For those of you who may not be familiar with this story -- stick with it... you won't be disappointed! To date, I have not seen a television series so masterfully written.

I tried to watch these shows on another video service, the quality and constancy does not even compare to Hulu.

I would like to see all the seasons host eventually and maybe even the movies.

B5 is a great story that holds a true timeline from start to finish, the whole thing really has a way of coming together from the first season to the last. If you liked the season ender, wait for season two, things really get shaken up and the pieces are moved into place.

Babylon 5 has a story that sci-fi fans crave for. I have watched the whole series over and over. I'm so glad Hulu got this on the web! This will bring even more users. Not to mention, I think the direct TV commercials are hilarious!
