Four stars works. Everyone expects to be floored by SNL every Saturday night, but that's an impossible standard to work by. The fact that it can make me laugh and sometimes really does floor me is one of the reasons why it's still on TV after a billion years.

John McCain was the funniest thing. No, I take it back, the spoof of the NBA commercial with Obama and Hillary was the funniest.

Overall this was a bust.

Rating starRating starRating starRating starRating star they said the same thing about billy crystal
many of the current cast are great, a few are a little too fixated on their own thing, but on a whole they're good. to all the naysayers who think it was better in their time, the past always seems better in our memories, but they said the same thing about the will ferrell era, the david spade era, the mike myers era, the robert downey jr. era, and the billy crystal era.

SNL always gets the worst critics. it always has. no one ever thinks the current cast is as good as the last. Honestly, and most of you will probably wont agree with me for whatever reason. i think the current cast is one of the BEST. I've been whatching since i was a kid in the late 80's and i think i like this cast the best.

i don't know what happened lately, the season finale was weak! i was bored! AND i was stoned! when a bunch of ameteurs on the web are funnier:

I've watched SNL since 1975 and I've seen ALL of the casts from the best to the worst, and I have to say that of all the casts that sucked, this one sucks the least. SNL is an American institution, and I believe it will continue to air until there is nothing left but nuclear waste, cockroaches, and Spam (the meat-like "food" product). SNL is like any other show or film that goes for extended seasons or sequels; the material becomes diluted and weak. Yet for some reason, as long as the show airs, people have continued to tune in week after week, year after year in hopes of something fresh and new. C'mon, Lorne, give the show a shot in the arm by putting some known talents on the payroll in with the new cast on a season's basis instead of putting all the weight on the guest host. Why not? You've made changes in other areas of the format before...

Rating starRating starRating starRating starRating star SNL is funny
I know that many will disagree, but I feel that in the last two years SNL hosts an all-star cast. They are hilarious and eclectic in their approaches to comedy. I have been following the show since I was a teenager and I think they are at a peak right now. This one with Steve Carell was not particularly great, but this season has been hilarious.
