Its a good watch. Wasnt any Master and Commander but it was a good movie considering it had a small budget. Acting alittle off but good story.

Just not a good movie
Religious propaganda aside the over prevalent stereotypes and awkward story development make for simply a lame movie. Though well shot and acted considering the movie fails for want of the most essential of element of film making writing. I mean an atheist with a sinikal out look and a twit of an Englishman who for some strange break of character is not an officer. The story two some escaped POWs have to help a downed British airman deliver some vital peace of intelligence to the high command or the war is lost, Really!!

Its low budget but its awesome
It was made with like 1 million dollars and the realism is pretty impressive when you keep that in mind. The acting is quite good but not perfect. The story is great though. Its well paced with solid character development and enough action to keep it interesting. Great message as well.

Best bang for your buck - literally
One of the best war movies I've seen, and done for well under $1 million. The story, script, acting, direction, editing, sound, score, and cinematography are all fantastic. It won 14 "best picture" awards at film festivals around the country.
Originally rated R by the MPAA (they just don't get it), it was edited down slightly to get a PG-13. I found very little objectionable, and much of it to be uplifting -- two qualities that Hollywood just doesn't understand. This film is highly recommended, if for no other reason than it is a prime example of excellent filmmaking on a conservative, restrained budget. Was this review helpful?
