Im not one for commenting, but can all you guys just keep your complaining to yourself? if u really dont like the simpsons anymore just dont watch it. After what, 19 seasons dont you think it might get hard to keep up the same pace? my advice to you guys is to stop watching the simpsons and perhaps do something more productive with your lives than complain about how bad shows are. dont you think there are bigger causes that deserve your time? get a life please.

What's with the episode summary? This episode has almost nothing to do with any prank calls.

I admit, even the strong of heart are beginning to lose faith
i own all currently released seasons of the simpsons and an ridiculous amount of paraphanalia. I have watched the showed since a small child and let me tell you, its time is growing near. The show has become an old person attempting to keep up with the times and battle confused ideas of whats "In". the writers are obviously focused on one thing: out doing family guy. but in that they have lost the very soul of the yellow-skinned family that kept them on the air for the past twenty some years.

the simpsons has always divided itself from other sitcoms by one thing: inteligence. back in the glory days, the shows were written by gradutes of brown, now they scribbled out community college drop outs who believe they have wit. please bring back the smarts. the old episodes were timeless and are as funny today as they were in the 90s. they had heart. they relied on the cast of creative characters from the town of springfield, not gimicky guest stars and popular types of humor.

the comedy in other show changes to adjust to the times, people look for crude, easy to understand humor to boost their rating. so maybe the old episodes didnt appeal to those who had never read a book or didn't understand a sly Poe reference, but who cares. they have family guy for pre teens. give the fans back what they want. the old simpsons.
